Spelling at Birchwood

At Birchwood Avenue Primary School, we follow the Emile Spelling Scheme from Year 2 to Year 6. This is mapped and aligned to the National Curriculum and covers the content of Appendix 1, National Curriculum 2014.

Emile Spelling includes explicit teaching of spelling rules, morphology and etymology along with phonics.
