Home Learning

In Year 2, we expect children to be reading for 15 to 20 minutes everyday. Please find time to share your child's school reading book together. It is ok to take it in turns to read a section or page to keep the story flowing and model a reader's voice. Talk about the book you have shared, asking questions about a character's feelings and the story setting.

Spellings will be set every Monday on 'Google Classroom' for children to practise at home. There is no test but children are expected to show they have learnt their spellings by applying it in their writing in class. 

Maths tasks will be set every Friday on 'Mymaths'. This will be linked to the week's maths lessons and will support the children to consolidate their learning.
