If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
The school operates one intake per academic year. Children start school in the September of the academic year they become five years of age. We are happy to show prospective parents around the school at any reasonable time, by prior arrangement through the school office. Parents are advised that initial contacts with the school are best made twelve to fifteen months before the expected date of admission.
In the term prior to admission to the Foundation class, the children are invited to spend some time in the reception class. In addition, an introductory meeting is hosted by the Head teacher. The meeting provides parents with information about the organisation and curriculum of the school and an opportunity for parents to ask questions.
Applications for admission to Birchwood Avenue Primary School can be made through Hertfordshire County Council, please click here to view their website or call 0300 123 4043
